An Duais |The award

5 winners will be selected for commission to produce and deliver their design, for use by Hope it Rains | Soineann nó Doineann, in Galway city and county during Galway’s year as European Capital of Culture 2020.

Winners will be awarded:

  • €1500 design & fabrication fee, including materials budget
  • Exposure in a year-long European-scale international platform through multiple presentations of the fabricated design during Galway 2020, European Capital of Culture
  • International and Irish PR and press campaigns
  • Jury-selected online design exhibition as part of Galway 2020
